Professor Thiago Continues to be Successful in Competition
Tri State Mixed Martial Arts’ own Professor Thiago Brito competed in the New Orleans International Open Championship, hosted by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) on February 8th and 9th. It was Professor Thiago’s first tournament of the new year. Thiago competed in both gi and no gi divisions in the Adult Black Black Belt Feather Weight class, placing in second for both.
Professor Thiago is the head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor for both children and adults at Tri State Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts. He is a 2nd degree black belt under Roberto Gudoi’s G13 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

About Sifu Jeffrey Jones: Jeffrey has earned full instructorship under Guro Dan Inosanto in Jeet Kune Do, Jun Fan Gung Fu, and Filipino Martial Arts. He is also a full instructor for the Thai Boxing Association of the United States of America, under Ajarn Chai Sirisute. His instructor, Guro Dan Inosanto is one of three people appointed to teach at one of the Jun Fan Institutes under Bruce Lee. Jeffrey has over 30 years of training and experience in Mixed Martial Arts.
