Tri State G13 Takes on ADCC for the First Time!

This past weekend, our Tri State G13 competition team stepped onto the mats for one of the most prestigious and challenging events in the grappling world — ADCC. For many of our athletes, this was their very first time experiencing the unique and fast-paced world of ADCC rules, and they represented our school with incredible grit and heart.

What made this weekend even more impressive is that our team only trains No-Gi once a month — yet they showed up ready to adapt, compete, and test their skills against some of the best up-and-coming grapplers around.

Our competitors — Ian Stamps, Nick Singh, Liam Kearns, Liam Karas, Kuba Wiencek, and Zedic Nickerson — each demonstrated the dedication, composure, and technique that define what it means to represent Tri State G13. Every match was a learning experience, and every athlete left the mats better than when they stepped on.

A huge congratulations to Liam Karas, who took first place in his age and weight division! His hard work and determination truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We’re beyond excited to see how this experience fuels our team for future competitions. Whether Gi or No-Gi, ADCC or local tournaments, the growth never stops.

Proud of our team. Proud of our effort. Proud to be Tri State G13. 🥋💪
